FAQ
Cat boarding questions answered
Everything you need to know about private-suite cat boarding at Valley Cat Hotel in Berwick, Nova Scotia.
What is Valley Cat Hotel?
Valley Cat Hotel is a cat-only boarding facility in Berwick, Nova Scotia. Each guest stays in a private, floor-to-ceiling suite with a secure window balcony — never in a shared cageless room.
What does each private suite include?
Every suite has built-in shelves, a covered litter box, clean food and water dishes, cozy blankets, a scratching post, and a secure window balcony with garden views when weather allows.
Can cats from the same household stay together?
Yes. Suite-mates from the same household board together in one private suite. We accommodate one cat, two cats, or cat families travelling as a group.
Why don't you offer cageless boarding?
Cageless boarding with shared food and common litter boxes compromises hygiene, increases health risks, and makes it difficult to monitor each cat's food intake and litter box output. Most veterinarians do not recommend cageless boarding for cats.
Which communities do you serve?
We welcome cats from Berwick, Kentville, Wolfville, Kingston, Aylesford, and communities across the Annapolis Valley and beyond. Call or email to confirm availability for your area.
How do I reserve a suite?
Call 902-698-3827 or email valleycathotel@gmail.com to check availability and book your cat's stay. We'll ask about feeding routines, medications, and any special care your cat needs.
Do you administer medications?
Yes. We follow your written instructions for medications and special diets. Please bring labelled medications and clear dosing notes when you drop off your cat.
Are the owners on site?
Yes. We live on the property, so your cat is never alone. Owners provide daily care, health checks, and personal attention throughout every stay.
